Lather with water in your hands, and rub bar between your wet hands. Natural lather and foaming will occur. Rub bar and/or foam all over your body. Wash off once cleansed.
We recommend that you break pieces off your full size bar and use a little bit at a time to make your bar last longer. Keep out of water, and allow to dry completely after use.

This shampoo bar is definately a keeeper! I applied root to ends in sections...first round-almost lathered- rinsed, applied again...immediatiately lathered up well. My hair felt very clean, but not stripped. I will alternate between cowash and the cocoveda shampoo bar...good stuff!

Other reviews seem to have the opposite problem so this one might be suited to certain hair types. I like the smell. It was the first bar I used since quitting Shampoo so maybe that was why, but it left my hair a bit more oily than the other bars. I'll be using it for times when my hair is being dry what with the new Honey and Berhempsu bars which might be drying for me if my hair wasn't an oil factory. Would recommend it for super dry, curly hair.

I just wish I knew how to use it on my hair - I say that because it doesn't get sudsy. I have coarse hair, not necessarily thick, but it does have body and I get in the shower I just rub and rub the shampoo bar in my hands and have nothing to put on my head! Ha! I do have the carrot bar and its more sudsy and I like it. Could someone please tell how to use this in my hair? Otherwise, it's very moisturizing on my body so I give 5 stars for that alone!

I bought a shampoo bar on a whim. I was a little unsure of how well it was going to work, but it lathers really easily. I have fine, straight hair, and it works really well. I did notice that if I don't oil my hair after using this shampoo, the ends of my hair look a little fluffy.

Awesome shampoo bar, the only thing I had a problem with was trying to get it to lather but I take it since it's a shampoo bar full of all type of oils you may not get the lather you want. I do recommend this product to everyone who's trying to switch up their shampoo product. My hair feels a lot healthier and it definelty does add moisture in my opinion.

This is the 4th shampoo bar I've tried, and I do like it, but not as much as some of the others. I have fairly fine hair, and it seemed to be a bit frizzy on the top after using this bar for awhile. The other reviewers mentioned lots of moisture, but this bar seemed to be more drying to my hair than the others. I still gave it 4 stars though because I did like it enough to use occasionally, and any shampoo bar is better than stripping my hair with chemicals form commercial shampoos.

Love this amazing Indian-herbal soap. It cleaned my hair so nicely after my henna treatment.

I have very fine straight hair, mid back length. It tends toward the oily side. It took me several attempts to get this product right. I first followed the instructions, lather (not much, if any at all), wash and rinse. It was awful. It looked like I had not washed my hair in a week.
I decided, because I was working so hard for lather, I must have used too much. So the next attempt I used a lot less. Unfortunately, I got the same results. I was about to give up on the product, but really wanted to realize the thickening and strengthening effect.
I read the ingredients which seemed rich with wonderful natural oils, so I thought maybe I should use it as a conditioner. So on my third attempt, I washed my hair with a little John Masters Organic shampoo, mainly to get some of the oiliness off of my scalp. Then I lathered my hands with my small nugget of shampoo bar. I spread that over all of my hair. Finished bathing, then rinsed well just before I finished my shower.
I did have the "squeaky clean" feeling that the others mentioned. My hair did not feel silky like after conditioner, but when my hair dried, perfection!! My hair was fuller, had more body (I actually had a bit of wave!) and this amazingly gorgeous shine.
My scalp didn't get oily as quick as it usually does either. My hair stayed light and bouncy into the second day, no pins or up do required!
