Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

Love the color this gave me after my first use.

I am so glad I bought this henna! I had been using Moroccan henna I purchased from HS. It was lovely as well, but I decided to pursue more of a ruby tone as my natural color mixed with the Moroccan produced ruby, but my heavily highlighed lengths remained dark copper with repeated applications of the Morrocan. I felt I needed the higher lawsone content of the rajathani to get the lengths to blend with my roots. Khadija was so sweet and helped me via several emails by looking at my pictures and giving me advice. I mixed my henna with hot (not boiling) water and 4T of Amla, ground cloves, cinnamon & paprika. I got dye release in 2 hours, but couldn't use it right away so I froze it. When i thawed it, it was so nice and creamy! I actually had to leave it in the refrigerator for a few days covered in an airtight glass dish. I was worried it would demise, but it did not. I added a bit more water mixed with lavender essential oil to thin it so I could put some in a plastic hair dye applicator for my roots. It really goes a long way!! I was able to do my roots, AND my whole head with the contents of the applicator bottle and still didn't empty the bottle. Plus the glass dish is still half full. For my slightly longer than shoulder length, layered hair I used only about 70 grams. I processed 4 hours. Rinse out was a dream, it is so finely sifted there was no pieces left in my hair like some other brands. I did shampoo it with the Sweet Honey shampoo bar and conditioned. Today I took it down from my sleep bun and holy shinyness!!! It is thick, glossy and gorgeous color!! My lengths are still a bit lighter than roots, so I will give it a few days and then possibly coat the lengths one more time to even it up some more. I love Henna Sooq!! Excellent quality and top notch customer service!!

I am a true Henna Head and I love this product!

Henna Sooq has been here for me since the start of my natural journey several years ago. My 3c -4a-4b hair grows fast so I have to cover my grey roots like every 3 weeks. I loved Red Raj but the burgundy tone of Rajasthani Henna is the BEST fit for me. It is easy to mix and apply. I usually leave it on for 10-12 hours (my preference because I want everything it has for me). And when I rinse it out there is the nicest hue ever.
Very Good Quality! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Greatest Henna there is!

Absolutely love HennaSooq's Rajasthani Indian Henna! I have very dark brown/black hair but this henna still gives my hair a beautiful shiny deep red tint.
The main reason I use henna is to prevent hair breakage and shedding; which I am prone to, and no other henna brand stops my breakage like this.
Exceeded My Expectations!!

I bought this powder thinking it was going to yield a medium tone. Low and behold, it yielded THE DARKEST TONES!!! I am so pleased with this powder, Wow!! I even gave my 3 children henna tattoos and they've woken up running in the room, for the past couple of days yelling "Mommy, Mommy look it's getting darker!" The tone is a very dark cherry brown. So awesome. I'm so glad I found this company. Now I don't have to buy around, looking for comparisons. I've looked around on the internet before buying here and honestly, my henna tattoos are the darkest I've seen!
Not what I excepted

Not what I was expecting as far as color goes. Really didn't change the color of my hair even though I slept with this in my hair. I mixed this with nothing but coconut milk so it will wash out easier. Might get again just for the conditioning, not for the coloring.
HS Reply: Thank you for trying out our Organic Rajasthani Indian henna. Unfortunately coconut milk as part of a henna recipe that is focusing on color results, is not a good liquid choice. Please review our instructions and videos for recommendations on how to get the most color out of your henna. Heavy liquids such as coconut milk are not for coloring treatments. We recommend water, green tea or ACV as your best choices. We hope this helps - KC
So happy! Beautiful color!

I have been using henna now for about 4 years. I switched over from basic hair dye when I noticed major hair fall which was very alarming to me and my knee length hair. I have naturally dark brown hair but since my 30's and I'm rolling on 49, I have the dreaded grays!!! (At leaf for me). I started out with Nuper9 then switched to Zenia and then Jamalia. Now while not of these brands were bad at all and made a good stain they just were not fictional no me the color I was completely happy with. I tried mixing them with all sorts of other red boosters like hibiscus powered and even the juice of beets. I recently purchased the iron vessel as it was said it makes for a deeper stain. And I think that it does, however, still not totally happy with the color. I have been on several henna blogs and kept hearing of Henna Sooq. So I took the plunge and glad I did. I love that the site was very informative on their products so I chose to purchase the fresh organic Rajasthani henna powder and some organic hibiscus powder. This time I just did my roots. My mix was 100 grams of the henna, 1 Tblsp of hibiscus powder, 1 Tblsp of ACV And a strong mix of warm green tea. I also add some lavender essential oil for the lovely smell. I let it sit 6 hours for dye release and then bagged it and into the freezer it went. The next day (today) I thawed it out and applied to my roots. Oh, also I made this mix in a plain old Tupperware container and not my iron vessel. The first thing I noticed was that it was not the usual dark color that my henna usually is. It was light brown like newborn baby poop!
Good Quality / Bad Results

This is my first time using henna. I used the henna to strengthen and color the gray. The application was smooth. I bought the one that would lend a Dk Brown/Black result. My results turned my grays ORANGE. I wasn't happy about that so I watched a YT video on how to correct and applied the Indigo, now my gray hairs are a light brow against my natural drk brown hair, still not too happy, but it let me know that maybe this was not the correct combo. If I try again, I will use the blackest level to see if that works.
