Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

Looks like it has been adulterated with chemicals
Posted by Unknown on 10th Jun 2018
I have been using henna for years but ever since I started using this henna i had been getting hives and rashes on my neck area. I was wondering what was causing it but now I have figured out that ever since I started using this henna i started getting those rashes. Looks like it is not 100% organic and may have been adulterated with chemicals.
HS Reply: Thank you for your feedback and thoughts on our products. Please note the organic cert. number is marked clearly on the package of henna powder. You can verify its certification online through ecocert. Our concern is if you are using any other herbs with your mix that may be the irritant as its rare for henna to be irritating especially since you have been using henna for quite some time. We do recommend you reach out to us directly to help assist you as to why this may be happening. We are always here to support our clients to the best of our ability. Thank you! - Khadija

I am so very happy with the color my hair is now after using this product! I have dark brown hair, and it turned out this beautiful auburn color. It was definitely a process to apply it, but worth every minute. I added amla powder to maintain my curls and it worked, and my hair is healthier than ever. I will never go back to chemical color again.

This was my first time using Fresh Organic Rajasthani Indian Henna Powder 2017. In past I was using Red Raj. Because I wanted a burgundy tent I tried Rajasthani. Day one my hair was just as bright as the Red Raj now on day two it has toned down and I like it better. I don’t have the burgundy look but hopefully it will get closer soon. If I don’t get the desired color I will go back to Jamila which is what I used before I transitioned to Red Raj.
Makes beautiful paste

This powder makes very smooth paste without extra sifting. The stain is a dark reddish brown and lasts for at least a week even if paste is not kept on the skin over night. Will definitely be ordering this product again.

I am so glad I bought this henna! I had been using Moroccan henna I purchased from HS. It was lovely as well, but I decided to pursue more of a ruby tone as my natural color mixed with the Moroccan produced ruby, but my heavily highlighed lengths remained dark copper with repeated applications of the Morrocan. I felt I needed the higher lawsone content of the rajathani to get the lengths to blend with my roots. Khadija was so sweet and helped me via several emails by looking at my pictures and giving me advice. I mixed my henna with hot (not boiling) water and 4T of Amla, ground cloves, cinnamon & paprika. I got dye release in 2 hours, but couldn't use it right away so I froze it. When i thawed it, it was so nice and creamy! I actually had to leave it in the refrigerator for a few days covered in an airtight glass dish. I was worried it would demise, but it did not. I added a bit more water mixed with lavender essential oil to thin it so I could put some in a plastic hair dye applicator for my roots. It really goes a long way!! I was able to do my roots, AND my whole head with the contents of the applicator bottle and still didn't empty the bottle. Plus the glass dish is still half full. For my slightly longer than shoulder length, layered hair I used only about 70 grams. I processed 4 hours. Rinse out was a dream, it is so finely sifted there was no pieces left in my hair like some other brands. I did shampoo it with the Sweet Honey shampoo bar and conditioned. Today I took it down from my sleep bun and holy shinyness!!! It is thick, glossy and gorgeous color!! My lengths are still a bit lighter than roots, so I will give it a few days and then possibly coat the lengths one more time to even it up some more. I love Henna Sooq!! Excellent quality and top notch customer service!!
A REPEAT CUSTOMER

Henna Sooq has been here for me since the start of my natural journey several years ago. My 3c -4a-4b hair grows fast so I have to cover my grey roots like every 3 weeks. I loved Red Raj but the burgundy tone of Rajasthani Henna is the BEST fit for me. It is easy to mix and apply. I usually leave it on for 10-12 hours (my preference because I want everything it has for me). And when I rinse it out there is the nicest hue ever.
