Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

Exceeded My Expectations!!
Posted by Nikesha on 22nd Nov 2017
I bought this powder thinking it was going to yield a medium tone. Low and behold, it yielded THE DARKEST TONES!!! I am so pleased with this powder, Wow!! I even gave my 3 children henna tattoos and they've woken up running in the room, for the past couple of days yelling "Mommy, Mommy look it's getting darker!" The tone is a very dark cherry brown. So awesome. I'm so glad I found this company. Now I don't have to buy around, looking for comparisons. I've looked around on the internet before buying here and honestly, my henna tattoos are the darkest I've seen!
Not what I excepted

Not what I was expecting as far as color goes. Really didn't change the color of my hair even though I slept with this in my hair. I mixed this with nothing but coconut milk so it will wash out easier. Might get again just for the conditioning, not for the coloring.
HS Reply: Thank you for trying out our Organic Rajasthani Indian henna. Unfortunately coconut milk as part of a henna recipe that is focusing on color results, is not a good liquid choice. Please review our instructions and videos for recommendations on how to get the most color out of your henna. Heavy liquids such as coconut milk are not for coloring treatments. We recommend water, green tea or ACV as your best choices. We hope this helps - KC
So happy! Beautiful color!

I have been using henna now for about 4 years. I switched over from basic hair dye when I noticed major hair fall which was very alarming to me and my knee length hair. I have naturally dark brown hair but since my 30's and I'm rolling on 49, I have the dreaded grays!!! (At leaf for me). I started out with Nuper9 then switched to Zenia and then Jamalia. Now while not of these brands were bad at all and made a good stain they just were not fictional no me the color I was completely happy with. I tried mixing them with all sorts of other red boosters like hibiscus powered and even the juice of beets. I recently purchased the iron vessel as it was said it makes for a deeper stain. And I think that it does, however, still not totally happy with the color. I have been on several henna blogs and kept hearing of Henna Sooq. So I took the plunge and glad I did. I love that the site was very informative on their products so I chose to purchase the fresh organic Rajasthani henna powder and some organic hibiscus powder. This time I just did my roots. My mix was 100 grams of the henna, 1 Tblsp of hibiscus powder, 1 Tblsp of ACV And a strong mix of warm green tea. I also add some lavender essential oil for the lovely smell. I let it sit 6 hours for dye release and then bagged it and into the freezer it went. The next day (today) I thawed it out and applied to my roots. Oh, also I made this mix in a plain old Tupperware container and not my iron vessel. The first thing I noticed was that it was not the usual dark color that my henna usually is. It was light brown like newborn baby poop!
Good Quality / Bad Results
Posted by Unknown on 26th Oct 2017
This is my first time using henna. I used the henna to strengthen and color the gray. The application was smooth. I bought the one that would lend a Dk Brown/Black result. My results turned my grays ORANGE. I wasn't happy about that so I watched a YT video on how to correct and applied the Indigo, now my gray hairs are a light brow against my natural drk brown hair, still not too happy, but it let me know that maybe this was not the correct combo. If I try again, I will use the blackest level to see if that works.

Rajasthani Henna on Hair
Posted by Unknown on 25th Oct 2017
My friend and I used this henna for our hair (hers medium brown, mine dark brown). I have used Nupur 9 and I tested Jamila as well, to compare them. Rajasthani was definitely darker than the other hennas once on the hair, and had a stronger red glow rather than the orange tints of Nupur or Jamila. On her, it showed up beautifully, and on mine it appeared to darken my color but add that red shine in the sunlight. It was good quality henna and we loved the color, I would definitely recommend!

Great henna for gray coverage
Posted by Carolyn on 1st Oct 2017
I have been using henna to cover my premature gray for years. Hennasooq provides excellent coverage using the 2-step method with henna then indigo. I find that I don't have to add anything extra except water to get the color release I need to cover my 4a - 4b hair. I mix up & let release overnight then usually only let it sit on my hair for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
No orange flare
Posted by Unknown on 25th Sep 2017
I have dark brown hair, almost black. I have tried henna before however I didn't like the orange glow in the sunlight. This Rajasthani henna gave my hair a beautiful red tint with one application. A second application made the red deeper, and my hair looks dark auburn/ burgandy in the sunlight. No orange what so ever.
I mixed up the henna with warm green tea and a tablespoon of aloe Vera powder. I let that sit for about 6 hours. And I only had it on my head for 3 hours each time. It took about 2-3 days for my hair color to oxidize to a deeper color.
Very happy with how it turned out!

It worked. I was doing the 2 step process for gray coverage and step 1 did exactly as described. After checking You-Tude and reading views on different brands I decided to go with brand and Im glad I did. It worked!
