Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

I have to say of all the Henna's I've used this is by far the best. My hair color is off black/very dark brown and no other henna has stained my hair as vibrantly and rich as the henna here!
This was my first time purchasing from Henna Sooq and I'm so glad I made the choice to give it a try; from now on I will be continuing to purchase from this shop.
Excellent quality, Thanks.
LOVE the results!

I seen a henna recipe on the channel of "Curly Proverbz" which is a natural hair blogger. She
mixed the henna with shikaki, amla, conditioner, and coconut oil so i tried this mixture with these products and my hair came out amazing! I used a deep conditioner afterwards beucase was my hair was a little dry at first, but none the less got great results!
If you have dark hair and want dark burgundy!
Posted by Alexis on 23rd Dec 2016
I used henna about 3 years ago when I had a pixie cut and was experimenting with different colors. At the time, for whatever reason, I was never happy. I quit using it and cut it off and went on. Fast forward several years, more premature grey and hair that was starting to show signs of rebelling my monthly cover-ups. I have extremely dark hair, about a shade away from black and tend towards a dark burgundy - although I've yet to get it with box dye because I get hot root and always end up with orange roots and black tips. So I finally decided to give henna a try again.
I settled on this based on the reviews and also specs given by Henna Sooq themselves siting it pulling more burgundy than orange.
Well I just had it on my head for about 3.5 hours - and I'm EXTREMELY happy! This is the closest I have gotten to my desired color I can recall probably ever. It's a deep dark color but it flares a jewel tone red. It hasn't settle in yet so my "sparklies" and roots are orange but I know that will calm down.
For anyone who likes to know what people use to mix, I used a decaf Green/White tea mix by Celestial Seasonings. I brewed 3 bags hot, let it cool, mixed with the powder which I let cure for around 3 hours in my microwave. And then I had it on my head for 3.5 hours with 2 head covers which I covered with a sock cap.
I think I might finally have my solution to my hair woes. Thanks much, Henna Sooq!
My hairs never been a richer red

I was a bit skeptical switching my henna but I couldn't be more happier. My hair goes from a beautiful bright light burgundy on the first day to a nice deep burgundy a week later. I mix it with 100g henna and 25 of Cassia. The only problem I have is that it is not covering my bleached ends ( I dyed them on top of my old henna'd hair) as much as my previous brand I've used but it is only my second time around putting this particular henna on my hair so I will continue using. The shipping is fast and all in all I'm a happy customer!

I hennaed with Rajasthani henna and organic hibiscus powder a few days ago. I kept my recipe very simple because I wanted to see whether it stained cool or warm red tones. (100g henna, 4 heaping tablespoons Organic Hibiscus powder, hot water, essential oils) I left it on for five hours, then rinsed well and CO'ed twice .
Immediately after towel drying I realized that this henna stained more intensely and darkly than any I've ever used with the possible exception of Raj Red. It totally covered the zillion baby silvers that are growing in after the Great Shed III. The silvers are now a deep, glowing, electric red, not copper. The rest of my hair is dark reddish brown trending towards auburn. It's slightly cool, but I wouldn't call it burgundy.
The color has oxidized now and it is gorgeous. The true red (not orange) of my silvers tells me that this produces cooler tones than many other hennas.
By the way, the henna mud was an unusual color, more light beige than what I expect as a long-term henna user. It never got really dark and it really looked almost as the dye hadn't released. Of course, it had. Just keep this in mind when you make your mix; it probably WILL look different.
It rinsed out really easily.
My hair is super soft and conditioned.
I highly recommend this product.

If you are on the fence, just do it! I was! I have super curly white lady hair and this is magnificent. So refreshing and healthy for my hair.

I used this to dye my dark blonde hair and it has given me fabulous results. Just ordered some more for a root touch up. A little worried that it's from Fall Crop 2010 (compared to the Fall Crop 2015 I got last time), but hopefully it works as well as the first time!

I mixed 100 grams of the Rajasthani henna with apple juice and then added 1/2 cup of indigo mixed with distilled water and 1/2 tsp. of salt to it the next day. I left it on overnight and easily rinsed it out the next morning with water and a small amount of conditioner. My color was beautiful, AND it did a great job of covering my 90% gray hair! I will continue to order this henna from Henna Sooq!

This was my first time using henna from Henna Sooq, and it was such a wonderful experience! I mixed it 2 parts henna to 1 part indigo for a reddish brown, and my color has stayed vibrant and rich.
The Perfect Results

Although this power is well sifted I do an additional sifting and it just makes the mixing process so much better. Brags Apple Cider Vinegar, distilled water and olive oil is the perfect mix for me. I leave on for 4 to 6 hours and the color is beautiful.
