Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:

"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.

My recipe is as follows…

200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder

I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!

I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

  1. Very pleased

Posted by Unknown on 15th Sep 2014

First time purchasing & ordering from Hennasooq, and was very pleased with how fast the products were shipped. The packaging and instructions on how to use the henna and cassia obovata were very helpful. The henna Rajasthani came out beautifully when mixed with a little bit of cassia obovata, the color is a rich vibrant coppery red on brown hair. I will be ordering my henna from this store from now on. Thank you Hennasooq.

  2. Beautiful Henna :)

Posted by Ann Marie on 14th Sep 2014

Could not wait to this…..I'll tried others (on-line & Indian Supermarkets) I've hennaed my hair since 2011, because my hair was so damage from Salons', and very reputable one in NYC :( And the tons of money spent :(
OMG! What can I say! I use Coconut Milk for releasing. Rinsing was very good. The color is great. Also use YOUR Hibiscus Petal Powder with the henna. My hair looks great and so soft.
Your are my new best friend!!

  3. The BEST henna ever!

Posted by Emmanuelle on 16th Aug 2014

This is the BEST henna I have ever tried!
I used 200 gr on my long hair, mixed it with warm distilled water and a little bit of red wine (all I had!. Let it sit for 3-4 hours. Put on my hair for 5 hours and WOW! The coverage is fantastic, even on my gray hair that didn't turn brassy orange but a beautiful red. This henna gives a fantastic color to my dark brown hair. I LOVE it!!!!

  4. I'll stick with Jamila

Posted by jasmine on 6th Aug 2014

This henna mixed really well I give it that, but upon rinsing it out it felt like sand it also clogged my drain which never happens with the jamila henna. I love henna sooq but I don't love this henna. Won't repurchase

I mix my henna with warm lemon juice, water and a bit of lavender eo. I leave it overnight in a warm spot overnight also. I love how smooth it is and how well it washes put. After 3 hours it's the perfect color! I won't buy any other from anyone else!

This is a beautifully set up Web site firstly. Easy to navigate. Henna sooq has almost everything I require. They shipping was speedy and the owners actually took time to look at the products I posted about in instagram. Besides this.

  8. Great 1st time 100% pure organic rajasthani henna

    Posted by iortizrojas@yahoo.com on 14th Jul 2014

This is the first time I used henna. I made it too watery, but it still gave my hair a nice red color. I made my mix with, 50g pure rajasthani henna, warm water, juice from a lime, and two chamomile tea bags. I have very dark black hair, so you can only see the color in the sun. It's been 4 days and it all ready got rid of my dry and itchy scalp. I am so pleased!!!

  9. The Only Henna I like to use for my hair!

    Posted by N'Dyria on 14th Jul 2014

This the only henna I use for my hair that works the best and gives great coverage Ive been use this henna for about 3yrs. I use this henna to cover the little grays I have popping up in different spots and this is what does the trick this gives my grays a nice reddish color not to bright just enough to kinda blend in with my dark brown hair. I keep my hair short so I dont need to mix a lot so I can use just one pack about 2-3 times. I mix it with chamomile tea and a little honey let it sit for about 30 mins depending on if Im press for time or not. I let it stay on my hair for 6 to 24 hrs if I dont have time to let it stay on overnight I like to let it stay on at least 6-8 hrs I find that when I let it sit for 24 hrs the color last longer at least 2 months when I just keep it on for 6-8 hrs it only stays on for about 3-4 weeks.

Love this henna please continue to keep this product it is my favorite. Thanks Henna Sooq!

  10. Great henna

Posted by Erika on 7th Jul 2014

This is the second henna variation I've tried from Henna Sooq. I loved how smooth this type is when mixed! I also think the smell is a little less intense than the Yemen henna. My hair feels amazingly soft. It did seem a little harder to rinse out than Yemen henna, but I'm a fan overall.
