Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."
I've bought this for years

I've been buying this henna for several years now. I usually henna my hair every few months to a couple times a year. Never had any problems, and my hair definitely feels thicker and looks shinier as a result. If anyone asks me about henna, I always point them here, and I will continue to recommend it.
Not for me I guess

I bought this henna since the Red R. is more expensive now. Honestly I had the feeling it fried and dried out my hair. My recipe was very simple I only added water to it. Personally I hope the Red Raj doesn't give me surprises as this one did.
HS Reply: Henna in general can all equally dry the hair out. We really recommend you add our Organic Aloe Vera powder to all of your henna recipes as Red Raj will also possibly dry your hair out the same. We hope this helps - Khadija

I really love this brand of Henna. The results were amazing. I mixed the henna with milk and we used it as a hair conditioner. We have naturally curly and wavy hair. We are very careful about what we put on our hair. After we used the product our curls were define and beautiful. I have a little gray so I welcome the natural dye to my gray hair. It gave me a younger look. It gave settle auburn highlights. The base of my hair is black. The color is not permanent for those who don't want color change. It only dye my gray not my natural hair color of black. I do recommend watching a you tube video on how to apply henna to the hair because it can be messy. I also would recommend a light oil to the hair after using the henna it can leave the hair a little dry. But it is a awesome product and I would recommend it for all hair types.
My hair loves it!

This is my first time using Rajasthani henna and my hair is absolutely loving it.
Really one of the best

This gave me a deep red tone, versus a orange-y/red shade. I really LOVED this. I ordered the Moroccan henna because this one was sold out when I went to purchase, so I'm excited to see how that one will turn out. I plan on mixing it with indigo, to get a dark brown tone, versus red. I've been using been a for over 4 years now, and want a slight change in hair color. So I'm hoping the indigo will make a difference.
Wished I would of tried tried this sooner!

First time ever tried I was skeptical about other henna brands since this was my first time I wanted the good stuff! I was really excited to receive in the mail my hair is natural black brown with red tint in the summer. So after buzzing my hair to grow it out my natural length is now a pixie cut length and it covered my hair very well with color. Next time I'm planning to change the recipe a bit and try the Red Raj to get more of an red color . For the first time I think it covered amazing and left a amazing tint and color on my hair on the first try. After day 2 still is a vibant color of a natural red auburn. I did mix mine with hibiscus flower next time I will had more . :) All in all I'm happy with this brand can't wait to try their other products .

I have to say of all the Henna's I've used this is by far the best. My hair color is off black/very dark brown and no other henna has stained my hair as vibrantly and rich as the henna here!
This was my first time purchasing from Henna Sooq and I'm so glad I made the choice to give it a try; from now on I will be continuing to purchase from this shop.
Excellent quality, Thanks.
LOVE the results!

I seen a henna recipe on the channel of "Curly Proverbz" which is a natural hair blogger. She
mixed the henna with shikaki, amla, conditioner, and coconut oil so i tried this mixture with these products and my hair came out amazing! I used a deep conditioner afterwards beucase was my hair was a little dry at first, but none the less got great results!
If you have dark hair and want dark burgundy!
Posted by Alexis on 23rd Dec 2016
I used henna about 3 years ago when I had a pixie cut and was experimenting with different colors. At the time, for whatever reason, I was never happy. I quit using it and cut it off and went on. Fast forward several years, more premature grey and hair that was starting to show signs of rebelling my monthly cover-ups. I have extremely dark hair, about a shade away from black and tend towards a dark burgundy - although I've yet to get it with box dye because I get hot root and always end up with orange roots and black tips. So I finally decided to give henna a try again.
I settled on this based on the reviews and also specs given by Henna Sooq themselves siting it pulling more burgundy than orange.
Well I just had it on my head for about 3.5 hours - and I'm EXTREMELY happy! This is the closest I have gotten to my desired color I can recall probably ever. It's a deep dark color but it flares a jewel tone red. It hasn't settle in yet so my "sparklies" and roots are orange but I know that will calm down.
For anyone who likes to know what people use to mix, I used a decaf Green/White tea mix by Celestial Seasonings. I brewed 3 bags hot, let it cool, mixed with the powder which I let cure for around 3 hours in my microwave. And then I had it on my head for 3.5 hours with 2 head covers which I covered with a sock cap.
I think I might finally have my solution to my hair woes. Thanks much, Henna Sooq!
