Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:

"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.

My recipe is as follows…

200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder

I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!

I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."

  1. Great henna for gray coverage 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Oct 2017

I have been using henna to cover my premature gray for years. Hennasooq provides excellent coverage using the 2-step method with henna then indigo. I find that I don't have to add anything extra except water to get the color release I need to cover my 4a - 4b hair. I mix up & let release overnight then usually only let it sit on my hair for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

  2. No orange flare 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Sep 2017

I have dark brown hair, almost black. I have tried henna before however I didn't like the orange glow in the sunlight. This Rajasthani henna gave my hair a beautiful red tint with one application. A second application made the red deeper, and my hair looks dark auburn/ burgandy in the sunlight. No orange what so ever.

I mixed up the henna with warm green tea and a tablespoon of aloe Vera powder. I let that sit for about 6 hours. And I only had it on my head for 3 hours each time. It took about 2-3 days for my hair color to oxidize to a deeper color.

Very happy with how it turned out!

  3. 1st time user 5 Star Review

It worked. I was doing the 2 step process for gray coverage and step 1 did exactly as described. After checking You-Tude and reading views on different brands I decided to go with brand and Im glad I did. It worked!

  4. Great henna! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Sep 2017

I've been using henna to dye my hair for about 14 years now, and can vouch for the quality of this henna. It gives a great color, even after only an hour of letting it sit (I was too excited to try out this henna and ran out of time) -- on me (a dark blonde) it's a really nice deep orange-y red. I'm sure that if I let it sit for another hour, as I usually do, it will be a beautiful deep red. My hair also feels great, it's soft, and shiny, and has more 'bounce' to it again. All in all I am very satisfied!

  5. my favorite henna powder 5 Star Review

I'm big big fan of rajasthani henna powder. I'm using it for years and I'm always enjoying mixing it. The henna from HennaSooq is really smooth, good sifted and very fresh. Gives amazing stain and lasts long. If you are looking for high quality and the best henna, this one is highly recommended! You will love to work with it!

  9. Perfect Rajasthani Henna! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jul 2017

I've always looked for organic, dark-staining, baq Henna powder to use on my hair that didn't stay too orange, or turn golden at the roots. This fabulous Rajasthani powder is exactly what I wanted, and that's saying a lot.
I used hot chamomile and hibiscus teas, and maybe 4 drops of rosemary essential oil, no other additives, mixed it up & let it sit for three hours, as directed, for dye release, then slapped it on, and left it on, for 4 to 5 hours. The result was a perfect dark stain, seamless root coverage, great shine, improved texture, and volume. Really all good!
I have a lot of fine straight hair, with about 50% grey, currently just above my shoulders, and 100grms did the trick nicely.
I love Henna Sooq products so much, thanks for giving me back my beautiful auburn hair. I will, of course, be back for more. As a true Henna "aficionado", for many years, I can honestly say you supply the best quality Henna powder and natural hair care products to all!

  10. Best Stain Ever 5 Star Review

I got an amazing stain on my hand using this Henna Powder. I think this was the best stain I've ever gotten with any henna powder I've used before.
