Our Organic Amla Oil is prepared from dried amla berries. Amla oil has a long tradition in being used for improving the health of hair and scalp. It is one of the world's oldest natural hair conditioners.
Our amla oil easily absorbs into, and moisturizes your hair. Amla has been traditionally used in ayurvedic medecine.
Can be used for:
- promoting hair growth
- strengthening hair roots
- it deep penetrates the scalp
- a hot oil or overnight treatment
- can also be used daily
- best to use after washing your hair or herbal hair treatment out
How to use: organic amla oil is applied onto the hair after washing (and after henna and any herbals hair treatment). It is rubbed through the hair and massaged into the scalp to promote blood circulation. This also brings forth not only natural shine and soft texture, but rejuvenates dry and damaged hair. Use a dime amount at a time. Place this amount in your palm or fingertips. Put onto your skin, and hair. For your hair also brush it through. Organic amla oil may also be put directly into your henna or ayurvedic paste/recipe. Add 1 tsp per 25 grams of powder.
Ingredients: organic Sesamum indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, organic Emblica Officinalis (amla)
Too good to keep to myself!

I'm currently growing out my last Big Chop, and purchased this oil to help with the process, as well as to help with the shedding. I'm so glad that I did. My dry, highly-textured Afro hair loves this oil! Although I use a few drops to massage my scalp at night, I find that I get the most benefit when I use it as part of my LCO method to retain moisture - liquid (if my hair is still damp from shampooing, or if I spritz my dry hair with water infused with peppermint essential oil), a creamy leave-in, and the amla oil to seal in all the moist goodness. The oil is not heavy, but a little goes a long way. It leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized, with a healthy sheen. I'm so glad that I was able to take advantage of the BOGO, because I was able to bless my Mom with a bottle. My Mom has battled baldness due to traction alopecia and the side effects of some medications. Since she has been using the oil, her scalp has definitely begun to look healthier. It's too soon to determine how the amla oil has affected any growth, but a healthier scalp is a good start. Thanks again, Hennasooq for creating these wonderful and healthful products!
Best Kept Secret

Amla oil is one of hair care's best kept secrets! I really love Henna Sooq 's Organic Amla oil, because a little goes a long way. The smell is pleasant and not overpowering; more importantly, it is organic! It works wonders on my natural hair. I use it to seal in moisture, and also mix it in the amla powder for a deep condition. I will keep this product on hand.
Amla Oil review

I just purchased and received the amla oil about a week ago (near end of Aug 2015). I love it as a good moisturizer without my hair looking and feeling heavy. It has been too early to notice any significant difference.
Worth its weight in gold

This oil is awesome. Using the word awesome is probably a gross understatement by far. I have used it three times so far and I am in wonder that the results. My first use was as a mixing medium for a clay hair mask, second as the main oil in my wash and go and third when coating my hair to stretch my curls. I am currently on day 7 of my current wash and go and my hair is still maintaining an astonishing level of monster and softness. The oil is light and easy to distribute and it is not heavily fragranced. I will definitely be retiring my castor and coconut oils.
a very good product for my hair

The hair oil made my hair really soft and manageable
Amla oil....less shedding ☺

I had such a small sample that I really can't tell if the alma oil was effective on its own, but after I mixed it with other ingredients I did notice a dramatic reduction in the amount of shedding. Therefore, I will purchase a bigger size and use alone and then I will be able to provide a better review of the product.

makes hair super shiny and strong!

i love this oil. It's not strong smelling like the dabur amla oil and it has NO mineral or coconut oil! (my coarse 4a/b hair hates coconut oil). It's surprisingly moisturizing for an oil and I add it to my rhassoul clay to wash my hair.
Amazing product, Total BELIEVER

I started using this Amla Oil 4 weeks ago and was a bit skeptical as I haven't ever tried sesame seed oil on hair. Growing up as a kid our family always used coconut oil for hair as is the tradition in my native land. I stopped using any type of hair oil for the past 10 years and have experienced a lot of hair loss, damaged/split ends and breakage (I have to have a hair trim every 2 months) over the years.
I use this amla oil daily (there has been a day or two when I have been lazy and didn't do this) for the past 4 weeks on the ends of my hair and massage a few drops into my scalp using my fingertips (inversion method) before I go to bed (I put a towel on my pillow). I also applied henna (organic rajasthani henna & indigo (henna sooq organic indigo) treatment (2 step process) to color my hair (and greys) black and 4 weeks ago.
I also find that this Amla Oil is not greasy as coconut oil and does not leave a any residue on fingers after application. Even the cuticles on my finger nails looks great. I used to have cracked cuticles!!
I can now see that hair fall has greatly reduced, my greys are now showing or rather GROWN a little more than half inch!! That's just amazing!! I am a true BELIEVER!!
In addition to this treatment, I stopped using shampoo for the past 4 weeks and have used shampoo recipe of 3 tbsp of soapnut powder and 3 tbsp of shikkai powder, mixed in hot water (not boiling) and left overnight. I use it in the morning to wash my hair. I wash my hair every 2/3 days depending on how oily it looks.
Even though I apply a few drops of this Amla hair oil everyday, I don't feel any product build up or dirt in my comb or hair.
I know this review is long, but I hope it will help others out there.

I am in love with this oil and have abandoned all of my store bought hair oils that I previously used. I use this to lock in my leave in conditioner twice a day. I was worried it might be too heavy, but it's just right. I haven't been using it long enough to comment on the growth benefits, but it has left my hair feeling awesome. I added some blood orange, lemongrass, and clary sage essential oils to liven up the smell and now everyone is sniffing me dying to know what I have in my hair and where they can buy some too.
