  2. Good Conditioning Treatment 4 Star Review

I was hoping to add some "natural" highlights to my hair by using it to color my grays golden blonde but I
found this product to work more as a conditioning treatment on my 4-C naturally kinky hair.

  3. Great for your hair. 5 Star Review

This is the first time I used neutral henna for my hair. I mixed in a small amount of (red) henna and when washed hair after 3 hours the grays had a soft golden look to it. I'm very pleased.

  8. newbie to Cassia Obovata 4 Star Review

It's my first time using Cassia and I used 50 grams of cassia with 3 tbsp of honey and used camomile tea instead of water . My hair is shoulder length and fine . I don't think I made enough . I let the cassia mixer process for 6 hours . Then I had my husband put if in my hair . Kept it on my head for 3 hours covered with plastic wrap and washed it out . Used argan oil shampoo bar . I am happy with the results but would love to do another treatment but don't know how long I need to wait !! I also have well water .. Do you think that would matter ??

HS reply: We would have recommended using more cassia for your hair length. At least 100 grams and to layer it on thickly and nicely to get best color results. 6 hours with well water is fine. I hope this helps. :) Thank you for your review.

  9. I love it - natural color and conditioner 5 Star Review

I have a dark blond/light brown wavy hair. I have been trying to cover my grays with herb rinses for about a year. It worked, but I had to do the rinses 1-2 times a week. I would get worried that my white hairs will show when I had to travel (I am 10% white). I have not dyed my hair before; I have had highlights a couple of times - years ago. I noticed white hairs a couple of years ago. I always wished that I find a way to keep my natural color as it is, but make the white hairs look like highlights. After some research, I found cassia. I tried it first time about a month ago, and I am happy with the results. I used camomile and marigold (calendula)tea to make the paste. Yes, my hair smelled like cooked spinach (or grass) for a day or so, but it is worth it. I am ordering more today. Thank you for the fast shipping too!

I have read reviews on some sites that shikakai can dry out hair. Not if you oil your hair and scalp before using. I use extra virgin olive/ safflower/ coconut or red palm oil. Sometimes I combined them all. Ramtirth hair Oil is another favourite! I boiled 2 cups of water and put 2 tablespoons of shilakai powder let cool and poured over the hair little by little. Focusing on the scalp. (Plastic bottles with nozzle, sold here are great for this) I did this with my head tilt down and detangled with fingers as I ran the mixture through my hair. I left it on for about 2 minutes but this all depends on how much products are in hair. You will feel it in the texture as you rinse out. Wether u new more or is just right. I always follow with a conditioner (always silicone based for me) because my hair is naturally curly. The results are baby soft hair. Better results than any shampoo or cleansing conditioner outhere! I can use silicon serums and pure Shea or Cocoa butters to styles hair and the shikakai removes it with a balance. I'm happy to find a supplier of shikakai.
