  1. Raging red 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Apr 2018

I am relatively new to Henna. I had been trying to make glosses with products bought on Amazon, Lush, to little avail. They didn't do anything for color or shine. I have non-chemicalled hair that is at its lightest streaks of level 4 and darkest is close to 2 in the back. I made what I thought was a gloss with this henna, same method, left on for literally 20 minutes, and wowza. It was no other color to call it but red. The level 4 turned almost ginger. The level 2 turned auburn. Outdoors was even more vivid. It was also extremely easy to rinse out, compared to the same formula with other henna products. I can't imagine what it would do as a true henna mix and applied for hours. Probably turn into a Weasley, ha ha. I'm beyond impressed with the dye content. If you want red, go ahead!

  2. Loved it 5 Star Review

Love the stringy and smooth texture and consistency, very different feel from other henna pastes. Also I was able to rinse it off in the shower without shampoo and conditioner. Left my hair very moisturized. The residue on my scalp didnt itch, which is an issue I had with other types of henna before. The color oxidized from copper to red in one day (I have dark brown curly hair). It looks like natural highlights in the sun, very beautiful.

  3. Best Henna Ever 5 Star Review

Due to its high lawsone content it dyes the hair really bright. The consistency of this henna is smooth, almost like slippery elm powder once you mix it with water. It conditions the hair and makes it super healthy.

  4. Lovely Red 5 Star Review

I started using this henna again. I forgot how lovely a red you can get from Red Raj. I have tried all of the different hennas from Henna Sooq and I think this one is my favorite, especially now that I’m seeing more silvery hair. It does a wonderful job covering the silver. I still have a lot of black hair so I use %60 henna with %40 indigo to bring out the red but enough indigo to balance with the black hair. I’m noticing that as my hair grows out I am seeing a lot more red highlights. I guess that means I’m getting more silver. :/ Thank god for Henna Sooq. Henna has definitely been my friend. It does so many beneficial things for your hair.
I’m never coloring my hair with anything else.

  6. Rich and Vibrant, Even for Dark Brown Hair! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Mar 2018

I always receive the loveliest red sheen from this product. I tend to mix it into a paste of many other things so I can get a good conditioning and as red of a shade as possible (hibiscus powder, patchouli, lavender, paprika, coconut milk, cinnamon, hibiscus tea, coffee, etc.) and it always works. Naturally, my hair is a dull dark brown, but Red Raj really gives my hair life, and it especially shows on sunny days. It looks more like a dark auburn in the shade, but the red is very rich and noticeable in the light, like a scarlet fire! I've always wanted red hair but never wanted to bleach it. Red Raj is enough for me to not want to go down that road.

  8. Great For The Grey! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Mar 2018

I have dark brown Afro hair that is now about 50% grey. I used this with the Indigo 2 step process and the results were fantastic. I only left the Indigo on for about 3 hours after the Red Raj because I didn’t want that jet black look. My hair remained dark brown and the colored grey gave me reddish brown highlights. I love it! Prior to using the henna I was also suffering from scalp dryness and itching. It’s been a week since the application and the condition of my scalp has improved as well. Although it is a long process the benefits are definitely worth it!

  9. best decision I've made in years! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Mar 2018

Being a first time henna user, I was REALLY nervous. I froze the packages as soon as they came but used them 2 days later anyway (see the fear factor? I wasn't taking ANY chances). I used organic rooibos tea (steeped with distilled water), organic unrefined apple cider vinegar and a splash of lemon juice. The mixing process was very forgiving and even though I was nervous, it was easy! I let it sit for about 3.5 hours even though it was probably ready much earlier. Application was SO much easier than I thought... Even easier than the chemical box dye with a squeeze bottle. I just used the gloves provided and scooped it onto my hair. I put it up in a bun, slapped on a shower cap and waited a torturous 8 hours (not uncomfy until the end but I have NO patience so this was hard plus walking the dogs in a pink polkadot shower cap made for fun times). I was so scared to rinse because... Well, come on... My hair was full of mud. Mud that's stains... Everything. So I rinsed under the faucet in my tub and WOW! It rinsed out so clean and easy. I put in a bunch of shea moisture smooth and tame conditioner and let that sit for 5 minutes. Then I showered. To my surprise, there was almost no mud left in my hair already. It rinsed simply with the conditioner and didn't even stain my cheap apartment tub. The color is MAGNIFICENT and while it loosened my curl pattern a bit, they are so smooth and flawless now that I hardly notice. I can't wait for the color to really set in. I absolutely LOVED this whole process and am so excited to be a forever customer. Thank you so much, Henna Sooq!!!

  10. Just like the box picture! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Mar 2018

I have light brown (dark blonde) hair and my results look just like the girl on the box! (Minus her obvious highlights). I'm on day 4 of oxidation after rinsing and the color has deepened from a bright copper to more auburnish/rosier copper. I used hibiscus tea and a squeeze of lemon as my liquid, and I left it on for about 3 hours.
Raj Red has a very stringy texture which requires more liquid than other hennas but results in paste that is very easy to apply to damp hair. The rinse out was super easy too!! I did it the kitchen sink with the spray nozzle
