Using Sukesh Ayurveda
Sukesh Ayurveda can be used in a number of ways just like any other herbal powder; use it as a wash, as a scalp or hair treatment or steep some powder in a little carrier oil. Following are the best ways to utilize Sukesh Ayurveda.
Sukesh Ayurveda as a Wash
The wash can be done in a few different ways:
As a tea: In 1 cup of hot (not boiling) water or herbal tea such as Chamomile or Hibiscus, mix in 2-3 TBS of Sukesh Ayurveda powder and let steep for 1-3 hours. Add another 1 ½ cups of hot water, shake, strain (panty hose is excellent for this) and apply to wet hair. Massage into the scalp and ‘press’ into the length. Apply shower cap and rinse out very well at the end of the shower.
As a herb pack: Mix enough powder for your hair with water, Hibiscus or Chamomile (herbal) tea. Add ½ tsp of your favrourite oil to the herb pack and apply to damp hair. Cover and leave on for 30 minutes. Wash out the powder VERY well.
As a sludge/gravy: The consistency of the gravy/sludge is between that of the tea and herb pack. Mix the powder with enough liquid (tea, or water) until you have something similar to a gravy. Apply to wet hair in the shower and wash out very well at the very end.
Sukesh Ayurveda as a Conditioning Treatment
This powder is wonderfully conditioning and moisturising. Mix enough powder to cover your hair with water, coconut milk, or herbal tea until it is the consistency of thick yogurt. Apply to damp hair, cover and leave on for an hour. Wash out very well. For extra conditioning and moisturising, add 1-2 TBS of Greek yogurt per 100g of powder or your favorite oil or butter to the mix.
Sukesh Ayurveda as a Scalp Treatment
Sukesh Ayurveda is fantastic for healing the scalp. Make a paste similar in consistency to yogurt with water/herbal tea or coconut milk and apply to the scalp area with a plastic squirt/condiment bottle. Cover the hair and leave on for up to an hour. Wash out very well. Re-apply once every two weeks.
Steeping Sukesh Ayurveda in Oil.
As an oil, Sukesh Ayurveda is perfect for healing the scalp and conditioning the hair. In a sterilized jar, place 1-2 TBS of Sukesh Ayurveda and pour over ½ cup of an oil or oil blend of your choice (Golden Jojoba, coconut, olive, Organic Camellia, avocado, sweet almond, etc). Shake the jar very well and store in a cool dark place for 2-3 weeks. Shake the jar every day to avoid clumping. When the oil is ready, strain through a double layer of panty hose. Use the oil on the scalp or hair as often as needed.
TIP: Add 1-2 TBS of Sukesh Ayurveda to your henna paste, conditioner, greek yogurt or other herbal treatments for intense herbal and moisturizing.

I purchased this product a few years ago and was not keen on the little stuff that was still left in my hair, so I decided to try one bag, to see if there were any improvements. This version consistency is smooth, easily washed out, reminds me of a similar product I use to use (company is no longer in business). So to say the least I am very happy that I can resume using my Ayurvedic herbal conditioners after 3 years. Thank you for such a great product
Great for supa fine curly

Used half pack on shoulder length, fine, curly euro hair - rinsed easy and left well conditioned and I think a little less hair fall in the last two days :)
Scalp Savior (triple threat)

I am so impressed with this product. I have very thick and curly hair. I have struggled with dandruff all my life. I have tried so many things and nothing seems to work for me. I reached out to the company if there were any products to help me with my scalp and they got back to me right away with multiple items I could find on the site to help me. I first did a pre-poo with raw aloe vera and applied that to my scalp. I then combined jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, castor oil, tea tree oil, lemongrass essential oil, and peppermint oil and let my hair absorb over night. The next morning I washed out the pre-poo with the Moroccan Clay Shampoo. I find it best to shave down the soap and mix with warm water until dissolved. The shampoo bar is moisturizing enough to finger detangle my hair. After washing my hair I applied the Sweet Honey Enriching Hair Nourisher as my deep conditioner and let it sit with a shower cap for a few hours. After I rinsed the deep conditioner out I applied the Sukesh Ayurveda hair mask for 60 min. My scalp has never felt better. I do not have any flakes and my curls where do defined. I just recently ordered 3 more bags now that I have found what works.

I love this product!! I am a natural 4a/4b. I mixed the paste with my deep conditioner. Honety my curls popped! I got so many compliments about my hair. I hennago (1 step) ounce a month and recently started the sukesh/conditioner a week later. Super strong, curly hair. Will definitely purchase again
Great Combination of powders

I am currently using this to infuse my hair oil along with fenugreek seeds and various essential oils. I love how it feels on my scalp and my scalp has been very moisturized and strengthened. I also have chemically color treated hair and it has not adversely affected my color nor textured of my AA hair. This is my first time using ayurvedic products and will be trying the henna by itself over the summer time.
Love it love it

" Simply In Love With The Sooq".......Beautiful Hair

I finally got to try this well known mixture of Ayurveda Herbs. First, I Prepoo'd with Amla Oil (On water misted hair). Massaged oil in 15-20 min wrapped hair with saran wrap, sat under heated bonnet for 25 mins. Rinsed with warm water and very lightly towel blotted my hair.
I used Sukesh as a DC (2T Sukesh, 4T Coconut Milk, & 1t Amla Oil). Put on scalp and hair and let it sit on my head with saran wrap for 1 hour then rinsed out with warm water. (Hair was ridiculously soft!!!)
I Cowashed with conditioner (Del Caballo).
Rinsed with semi warm water. Softly towel blotted.
I applied Sweet Honey Enriching Hair Nourisher as a DT. I put saran wrap sat 30 mins.
I rinsed out with cold water then used steeped (cooled) black tea as a final rinse.
Lightly towel blotted and used a dime sized amount of Camellia Oil and Amla Oil to distribute throughout hair. I conditioned my scalp with a homemade butter. My hair never felt so loved and nourished. My hair felt like silk and I couldn't stop touching it. My curls were popping and I knew this would be my future hair regimen hands down. I'm also in the process of making Sukesh Oil
It takes 2-3 weeks) so I will give an update soon.
I honestly fell in love with this product as well as the Nourisher. Trust me you
will not be disappointed!!
Shipping was great and I received a free sample shampoo bar, gloves, and a Henna Sooq key chain. My package also included very helpful detailed instructions.
Thank You Henna Sooq for saving my hair!!!
Shiny, healthy hair

It's a good mix!

I mixed it in with my henna. I've only used it once so can't form a real opinion yet. I think it helped tone down the red of my henna though. That on top of adding indigo might be a bit much. Think maybe I'll use this after my henna treatment next time. Still, it has my favorite herbs in it and it beats the heck out of me having to buy them separately and trying to figure out a good mix for them! I'll come back once I use it more....
