Organic Amla Powder

(94 reviews) Write a Review

Amla is a natural plant also known as Emblica Officinalis. The dried, powdered fruit has tannins, vitamin C, and is astringent.

Our Organic Amla is especially amazing for hair because:

  • adds texture, volume, wave, curl
  • shine to your hair
  • promotes hair growth
  • thicker, stronger hair strands
  • tones down red of henna
  • natural astringent making it good for facial cleansing
  • tightens up coils/curls

Our organic amla powder is vacuumed sealed and packaged in foil packages by 100 grams. This ensures freshness.

Why is our Organic Amla Powder superior to other amla powders? Read our article: Henna Sooq's Organic Amla Powder

Quantity: 100 grams

Be Advised: Our Organic Amla powder is not for consumption. This is hair grade quality amla and for external use only.

You can use amla as part of your henna and ayurvedic hair treatments or on its own.

People generally use it on its own when they want to tighten up their coils after a henna or cassia treatment without affecting color results.

When using it along with other herbs you should add at least 3-4 tbsp per 100 grams.

You can mix your henna and ayurvedic recipes with warm water, tea, coffee, herbal teas, and some lemon juice. Don't use too much lemon juice, if any, as it can be drying

  • Love this product

I’ve been quite satisfied with all the powders I’ve used from Henna Sooq. They definitely have changed the texture of my hair. My hair was shedding so much (it still does, but not at the same pace), now it feels and looks thick again. I don’t mind the smells, maybe with the exception of Fenegreek

  • Great to prevent hair loss

I have very thin hair and it falls due to a medical condition. This has helped me improve hair loss in a week. Let's see how this works in the future. I mixed it with my copper coloring recipe.

  • Quality amla

Posted by TJ on 29th Oct 2021

I already had some amla on hand from another company but I grew curious about the difference in color between that brand (dark brown) and Henna Sooq's (beige). So I bought hers and found that there is a remarkable difference! I got much needed strength from both brands but Henna Sooq's left my 3c curls softer, more defined and shiner. The other brand can be consumed, maybe that's the difference,
I don't know, but this amla is definitely the one I want for my hair. Thanks!

  • Longer, Stronger, 2B Hair

I started my henna journey in 2018, and haven’t looked back. Henna Sooq is a blessing, Mash’Allah. I use this Amla powder mixed with aloe powder and leave in for about three hours or until I remember it. I put a shower cap over the herbal pack on my hair to start with, and when I start to sweat, switch to a hand towel folded diagonally and tied up in front. My hair is now waist-length after regular use of this along with amla oil and Henna Sooq’s proprietary blend of Ayurvedic oil!
Not bad for having a bad scalp condition with acne, dandruff, psoriasis, and thinning hair!! Now all gone, Insha’Allah. Thank you Khadijah and Henna Sooq. P. S. All my “canas” are gone too!

  • Best Conditioner & Curl Definer

This was my first time using Amla on my 4C hair. Combined it with Fenugeek and coconut milk as a and used it as a deep conditioner. My hair loved it! My curls were soft and super defined when I did my braid out. It's unbelievable what a quality product can do. LOVED IT!
